Welcome to San Bruno Rotary – the club with a SPARK!

The San Bruno Rotary Club is individuals with shared values, a part of one of the largest service organizations in the world - getting things done is what we do. 2020/2021 promises to be a conflicting year for our club, one where we will grow and publicize our involvement by the entire membership within multiple sectors of the San Bruno community, a community that has been sorely impacted socially and financially. This is an opportunity for our club to make a difference in our schools, businesses and the community in general.

Several committees have been formed to this end:

San Bruno Star with a Heart - each month an individual from San Bruno’s local government, private business or school community will be recognized and rewarded for making a positive difference in San Bruno.

San Bruno Welcome Sign – our club is collaborating with Caltrain and similar San Bruno service organizations to design an appropriate welcoming sign as you enter San Bruno on West San Bruno Avenue.

San Bruno School Program – looking to identify and fill any areas of need to insure continued optimum student development within our schools.

San Bruno Park Pavilion – with the building of a new community center the iconic San Bruno Park Pavilion will be moving. Our club is planning a new and improved pavilion to grace the park for another 50 years.

Membership – Always actively seeking like minded members to insure that our club grows and remains a vibrant diverse organization dedicated to serving our community wherever we can.

Hometown Tuesday

On HOMETOWN TUESDAY, August 4th, we encourage you to join us to get take-out or dine at Taqueria Mi Durango located at 287 El Camino Real. We want to encourage take-out to help support our local businesses.

Each week we are choosing one or more businesses to support. If they are not your food preference then we encourage you to support another San Bruno eatery.

On Hometown Tuesdays we want San Bruno's business community to feel the support.

Rotary Pavilion

A "Welcome Sign" project is underway! A collaborative and community effort by the San Bruno Lions Club, San Bruno City Council, other San Bruno service organizations as well as the Rotary Club of San Bruno to place a "welcome sign" at the Rotary Pavilion located at 251 City Park Way San Bruno, CA.

"Star with a Heart" Award

The Rotary Club of San Bruno is pleased to introduce a community award program call "Star with a Heart". The "Star with a Heart" is a"HERO" that contributes selflessly to our community of San Bruno in many different ways.

Each month, the Rotary Club of San Bruno will be giving this award to a very well deserved community member of San Bruno.

Battle of the Strip Fundraiser 2019

Our annual Battle of the Strip Fundraiser in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Millbrae helps supports the Athletic Departments of Capuchino High School and Mills High School. Each year, our Rotary Clubs honors the seniors of the football teams and the cheer squads. Both Rotary Clubs did not have our regular weekly meeting as we hosted the annual Battle of the Strip Football Lunch on November 7, 2019.

Thank you to all that came and supported this amazing annual tradition. Early reports are showing we will be able to give a strong $$ amount to each school! Thanks to all that donated, sponsored a table, donated a raffle prize and attended the lunch!

Recology "Warm Coat Giveaway"

The 23rd Annual Winter Coat Drive "Coats for Kids" sponsored by Recology of San Bruno is underway! It will take place:

4:00pm - 7:00pm

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We will be giving away coats to families in need. This is an amazing annual event that our Rotarian Kirsten Pinochi coordinates each year. Please come by and help out!
